WGL Bowl 2009, Play Under Review

30-Dec-2009

The replay-officials have stopped the WGL Bowl in the last second. The receptions of AA RB Pierre Thomas were under review. The ruling on the field (5-25) was overturned (0-0). As a result the Jamaica Aliens are the winner (4-3) of the WGL Bowl 2009.

JA GM Gursch was reached in the off-season vacation ("gone fishing"): "It is hard to win on Christmas if you face a team of Angels. But sometimes miracles happen. I feel very lucky to sweep the Angels 3-0 this season and it feels even better to be back to back champion for the first time. But I tip my hat to the Angels coaching staff that initiated the review call."
